Victorian Cupid Valentine Card with Lute and Forget-Me-Nots

With an expression of serene resignation, the curly-haired cherub in a pink drape clutches an enormous gilded lute-mandolin hybrid that is genuinely larger than her entire torso — because apparently the best way to express 'I love thee' is through catastrophic overcompensation with string instruments. The poem on the instrument's body reads 'I love thee! I love thee! 'Tis all that I can say,' attributed to Thomas Hood, which is either the most romantic thing ever written or a confession that the sender has run completely out of personality.
