Victorian Easter Joys Be Thine Greeting Card with Chick & Rabbits

Somebody at the Victorian greeting card factory looked at a chick halfway out of a cracked egg and thought, 'yes, this screams joy' — and to be fair, the chick does appear alarmingly alert and oversized, clutching what appears to be a tiny branch like it's already filing paperwork. Below this existential hatching scene, two white rabbits are tied together with a little red bow, because apparently the best way to celebrate 'Easter Joys Be Thine' is literal bondage among the daffodils and orange poppies. The rabbits have the glazed, thousand-yard stare of creatures who have accepted their fate, surrounded by cheerful lily of the valley and a distant pastoral landscape that only deepens the sense that something very wrong is being marketed as very wholesome.
