Description
Against the soft, cheerful grassy landscape sits an unexpectedly unsettling scene: a plump kewpie-style cherub with oversized head, winged and dressed in lavender/blue tones, firmly grips reins attached to a brown rabbit, leading or dragging it across the gentle terrain. The cherub wears a large bonnet adorned with pink flowers and minimal clothing, rendered in the sentimental chromolithographic style characteristic of early 20th-century holiday cards.
Subjects
cherub, kewpie, rabbit, reins, bonnet, wings, grass, flowers
Printing Notes
High-quality chromolithographic printing with hand-applied color detail; embossed elements on cherub's face and wings
