Vintage Easter Greeting Card Three Flower Fairies 1900s

Three chubby-cheeked cherub faces erupt from the bodies of white Easter lilies like nature's most unsolicited surprise, their curly brown hair framed by drooping white petals that function as both hat and existential threat. The green-tipped white wings — which are definitely just more flower parts in denial — splay outward as if these lily-children are preparing for a takeoff they will never achieve. Below them, the card cheerfully announces 'Easter Joys' and implores us all to 'sing a round de-lay,' because apparently the Edwardian solution to botanical body horror was simply to add a rhyme. The three faces are not quite identical — look closer, one is slightly smugger than the others — which somehow makes the whole tableau worse.
