Victorian Easter Greeting Card with Chicks & Snowdrops

A cracked pink eggshell decorated with a blue ribbon bow and suspended by pale blue ribbons functions here as a hanging basket for two fuzzy yellow chicks, dangling from a bouquet of pussy willows and snowdrops above. One chick is mid-escape, wings dramatically flung open like it's auditioning for a production of Cats, while the other hunkers down in the shell looking deeply unimpressed by its companion's theatrical nonsense. A cluster of snowdrops has been stuffed into the bottom of the eggshell basket like floral garnish on an entrée of freshly hatched bird, because nothing says 'Happy Easter' like the aesthetic of a chick being served in its own egg with a side salad.
