The designer's original vision appears to have been: what if we just placed a physically impossible peach-and-crimson rose the size of a small building directly above an entire snowy Victorian village scene, letting it loom like a floral overlord? The rose — flanked by a demure little bud that didn't ask for any of this — is framed against decorative ivy and gold Art Nouveau curves, as if elegant geometry could somehow normalize the sheer aggression of its scale. Meanwhile, inside a fan-shaped vignette, a group of Victorian figures trudges through the snow toward a warmly lit church, blissfully unaware that they exist entirely within the shadow of a sentient boutonniere. The gold script reads 'With New Year Greetings,' which feels deeply inadequate given the floral hostage situation unfolding on the right half of this card.
