Vintage 1908 Fourth of July Greeting Card with Patriotic Boy

The boy, mouth agape in what the artist insists is patriotic ecstasy, has been dressed in a stars-and-stripes sash, handed what appear to be lit firecrackers, and placed directly in the center of multiple simultaneous explosions — and the card's response to this is simply 'HURRAH!' He thrusts one arm skyward while fireworks detonate literally on his torso, flanked by cannons on both sides and rifles leaning casually in the corners like they're just hanging out. Two drums and a shield bearing the American flag complete the militarized kindergarten aesthetic, and the word 'LIBERTY' is printed at the bottom as though to reassure you that yes, this is freedom — the freedom to hand a child explosives and call it a holiday card.
