Vintage Uncle Sam Thanksgiving Turkey Greeting Card 1900s

Uncle Sam's expression suggests he's either tremendously pleased or deeply committed to the uncomfortably intimate bear hug he's locked in with a massive turkey, gripping the bird's body with both arms while the turkey's wings fan out and its wattled neck stretches forward in what the artist clearly intended as festive struggle but reads as a hostage situation. The turkey is enormous, nearly as big as Uncle Sam himself, which raises logistical questions nobody at the time thought to ask. Festive red, white, and blue ribbons stream overhead alongside gold stars, as if the universe is cheering on this act of patriotic poultry domination. 'Thanksgiving Greetings,' says the banner at the bottom, apparently unaware that only one party here is doing any greeting.
