Vintage Thanksgiving Greeting Card: Woman with Harvest Abundance

The ethereal, slightly feverish quality of the wispy, painterly background—less 'cozy holiday card' and more 'woman ascends to turkey heaven'—is the artistic choice that makes no sense here, because apparently presenting what is either Thanksgiving dinner or a sacrifice to appease the harvest gods requires a rosy-cheeked woman in a pink dress and white apron holding aloft a whole roasted turkey on a platter with the casual confidence of someone who has absolutely done this before and will do it again.
