Vintage Thanksgiving Joys Card | Victorian Die-Cut with Turkey

For reasons known only to the artist, a cherubic child in a white chef's hat and sleeveless outfit has been positioned directly atop a massive turkey's back, clutching a large carving knife and fork with the calm, focused energy of someone who has absolutely done this before. The turkey, rendered in gloriously iridescent green-brown plumage with a dangling red wattle, seems magnificently unbothered by the armed toddler sitting on it like a throne. Meanwhile, on the left, a serene pastoral vignette surrounded by tasteful fruit and a pumpkin exists in a completely different emotional universe — as if the artist pasted two separate realities together and called it 'Thanksgiving Joys,' which, sure, fine, whatever you need to tell yourself.
