The woman in the elaborate blue gown has taken 'mother holds baby doll aloft like Simba' energy and committed to it fully, while a toddler sits on the floor apparently unbothered by the chaos, having already achieved enlightenment. Meanwhile, the mantel clock looms in judgment over the whole scene — it is 9 o'clock, the stockings are hung, and this Victorian father is absolutely NOT done drawing out the suspense, because power is the only gift that man is giving tonight.
