Vintage Christmas Snowman Greeting Card, Early 1900s Winter

How did 'snowman gets shoved into the snow by their smirking friend' become an acceptable Christmas card concept? Somebody at the Hallmark pitch meeting absolutely greenlit it, and here we are. The red-bonneted snowman has been knocked flat on their back, limbs splayed in full humiliation mode, while the green-hatted one — wearing a festive scarf and sporting a disturbingly satisfied grin — looms over them with a red-mittened hand near a small snowball, the evidence of the crime literally still rolling around. A wooden sled sits abandoned in the background, presumably the getaway vehicle. 'Best Wishes for Christmas' declares the text, cheerfully, over what is clearly a crime scene.
