Vintage Santa Christmas Greeting Card Early 1900s

'The best there is is none too good for you,' declares the ornate script below—which would be touching if Santa's raised finger didn't read less like generosity and more like he's about to add 'and don't you forget it.' Santa has apparently set up shop behind what appears to be a curtain rod draped with holly, leaning over it like a medieval lord surveying his peasants, except his peasants are two tiny toy figures (a doll and what appears to be a soldier) that he is very pointedly gesturing at with one raised finger, as if mid-lecture about their life choices. The holly-festooned backdrop and his flowing white beard give the whole scene a 'benevolent dictator on a balcony' energy that the card seems completely unbothered by.
