Like a modern hypnosis TikTok taken to its logical Victorian conclusion, whoever designed this card apparently decided the most festive Halloween vibe was a woman in a blue headband being hypnotized by a dangling apple — suspended from above by what can only be described as occult Fruit of the Loom energy — all framed inside a giant hand mirror, because apparently the spookiest possible seasonal imagery is your own reflection showing you mid-apple-trance. Meanwhile, a fully red-clad witch rides her broomstick outside the mirror's frame, chaotically accompanied by bats, while a black cat with glowing yellow eyes lurks in the lower corner radiating the exact energy of a coworker who knows what you did. The poem at the bottom cheerfully informs us that 'the Moon laughs and whispers, it's near Hallowe'en,' which is either charming folklore or the most threatening thing a celestial body has ever said, and frankly the woman staring slack-jawed at that apple is in no position to argue.
