Vintage Thanksgiving Greeting Card with Child & Turkey Feathers, Victorian Era

The cherubic child in blue overalls and straw hat emerges as the unlikely protagonist of this early 1900s Thanksgiving fever dream, clutching what appears to be a red-handled carving set with the gleeful confidence of a tiny murderer, while an enormous turkey fans its full tail feathers directly behind him like a doomed halo. The turkey — very much alive, judging by its intact head drooping sadly near the child's feet — seems fully aware of what that carving set means. A pumpkin and some grapes lounge decoratively in the corner, completing the harvest tableau nobody asked for. This card essentially documents a crime in progress, gift-wrapped in cursive gold lettering.
