1776 Patriotic Fourth of July Greeting Card - Revolutionary War Boy Illustration

The card's triumphant message of freedom and democracy clashes wildly with its imagery of a cherubic toddler in a powdered wig and tricorn hat straddling a giant lit firecracker labeled 1776, sword raised, while smaller firecrackers explode around his tiny buckled shoes — because apparently the Founding Fathers were just very small, very unhinged children with access to explosives.
